1970 Jaguar Series II XKE Convertible
Formally owned by Bill Graham (Rock Promoter)
This is a very beautiful overly cared for XKE. This car wanted for nothing as the owner took care of everything as it occurred and we have complete service records to verify all service and repairs. This car is a real show piece as you can see fro the pictures and you can talk about the former owner. We will include a video of the A&E special done about Bill Graham and you will find a sample of the video below, showing Bill arriving at his office in downtown San Francisco. Also bill kept meticulous records and let nothing pass. When the car needed attention it got it.
Although the paint could use a little attention if you wanted this car to look perfect you can enjoy the car just the way it is. You will notice that the interior looks like new and the right canvas top, from England, has just recently been replaced.
This is a very original Series II E-type roadster; it is a second owner vehicle; the current owner purchased it in 1995 from the estate of
Like all Series II roadsters it includes the enhanced comfort features that are not found on the earlier E-types; including but not limited to the more comfortable seats, the synchronized 4-speed transmission, more foot room, etc.
The car is finished in Jaguar Ascot Fawn, a tan interior, and a new black convertible top. The floors and undercarriage are extremely solid. There is still some original paint under the floor mats! The interior is original including the carpeting, the entire engine bay is original, and much of the paint is original.
As you can see by the photos the interior is in very good shape considering it is nearly 40 years old.
As outlined above, this car is a very correct and an original Low Mile car. Following are details outlining the vehicles condition:
Engine Area:
* All original heat shields, lower and upper, still intact
* Original stone guards
* Front cage intact and in excellent condition
* All original hose clamps and cable ties still intact
* Original Engine - matching numbers
* Like most E’s, the engine does leak oil - driving it may cause the gaskets to swell some and prevent it from leaking
Interior:
* Original radio in excellent operating condition
* Original interior, including seats, carpeting, dash pad and control panel
* Original dash and control panel in good condition
Exterior:
* Original wheels are in excellent condition, including an original wheel in the trunk.
* Tires are in excellent condition
* Original boot cover; in excellent condition
* Top is NEW and the correct Jaguar replacement
