Forget all the frills.  They look nice, but they just get in the way and the mother will just have to wash and iron them.  Go with the black and white one, It's functional and the linens will be easier to take care of.  If she has another baby later on and it's a boy, she can use it for him also without having to buy new stuff.

Have you checked with the manufactures of these bassinets to see if there are any recalls?

For functionality and easy cleaning #1 but the baby is their little princess and #2 looks like what a princes would sleep in. :)

I'd recommend the first one, it seems to be more functional but still looks elegant, I'm sure the baby will like it. :)

But if you'd like something reasonably priced - the third one would fit.
